Mount Washington Information Mount Washington, with a mere 130 residents, is one of the smallest communities in the state. It is in the southeast corner of the county, bordered by New York state on the west and Connecticut on the south. The town’s elevation — Mt. Everett is the state’s second highest mountain — and lack of main highways contribute to its isolation. Although the town has no commercial businesses, it abounds in natural attractions, including Bash Bish Falls, Mt. Everett and 6,000 acres of forest.
