Program & Networking Opportunities


The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce provides a wide array of effective networking opportunities for you and your business. Each month, networking events are publicized in Berkshire Business News, which includes time, date, location and registration information on all of our upcoming events. You can also access this information and register online at www.berkshirechamber.com

Good News Business Salute breakfast events are held in February, April, June, August and October, in an effort to showcase "good news" in the Berkshires and to create a positive environment for business while promoting quality jobs and celebrating the spirit of success. Good News Business Salutes recognize up to six companies or organizations as well as an outstanding group or individual who is providing community service in the Berkshires. These popular networking events are attended by anywhere from 350-500 members of the local business community.

Each month, the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce hosts Chamber Nite, the Chamber's popular business-after-hours events, that are designed to encourage networking among members of the Chamber in an informal social atmosphere and to increase awareness of the products and services of the hosting Chamber member company and our other members in attendance.

As a way to promote, strengthen and support the small and micro business community in the Berkshires, the Chamber's Networking & Recognition Committee plans events and looks for ways to promote Chamber members. Educational programs are held throughout the year, which provide skill-building programs for the small and micro businesses to ensure they are well informed on issues affecting their businesses. And, as a member, you could be the presenter!

Chamber members enjoy additional promotional opportunities each fall as the Chamber's Business-to-Business Showcase, seeks to highlight small and micro businesses in and around the county.

Chamber members enjoy booth discounts in the annual spring Berkshire Home Expo, a Showcase of Homes, Businesses and Gardens, the largest show of its kind in the Berkshires. This expo, lets people all over the County know who you are, what you do and where you are located.

For the Berkshire Young Professionals (BYP), Networking Socials, and other special events are specifically tailored to meet the needs of young professionals in the Berkshires and to address the challenge of forming connections which young professional’s value. Networking Socials are designed for socializing and networking with other young professionals in a relaxed, fun and friendly atmosphere. Additionally, YPs are encouraged to Buy in the Berkshires through the BYP Membership Card.

Enhanced Communication Vehicles

Members enjoy the privilege of a Members Only secured section, complete with member-to- member networking and business opportunities. Here, you can register for events, post your own event, update your businesses’ member listing, or add an employee in just a few quick clicks.

Chamber members receive free cross-referenced listings in our annual Business & Community Guide as well as here on our website. This publication is distributed to all Chamber members as well as to businesses and individuals outside of the Berkshires who are interested in relocating here.

New Chamber members receive one free mention in the New Members section of the Berkshire Business News, the Chamber's monthly Newsletter that reaches 32,000 households/80,000 readers. Published the first Wednesday of each month, as a supplement to The Berkshire Eagle and The North Adams Transcript, we report on Chamber activities and keep our members informed on important business and community issues and initiatives. Member advertising is available in Berkshire Business News by calling The Berkshire Eagle directly at 413-496-6321.

For added publicity, Chamber members have the opportunity to submit a request to be featured as a Member of the Month in both Berkshire Business News and on www.berkshirechamber.com.

The Chamber receives hundreds of inquiries monthly from businesses and consumers that are referred exclusively to our members. With our highly interactive new website Chamber members and the general public can quickly find your company listing with the click of a button.

Low-Cost e-Options

If click-based advertising interests your business, the Chamber has a variety of options ranging from just $25 to $1,000.

Mini ads These are small spaces (200x200 pixels) found along the left-hand sided of the Berkshire Chamber e-Newsline.  The cost is only $25 per communication and the ad will link back to your website.

e-Newsline Sponsorship – An e-communication sent three times each month to 3,200 email addressees chockfull of news and information on Chamber events, happenings, and photos.  As the sole-sponsor, you will be advertised on the very top of each communication and can include an image, up to 30 words of text, and a link to your website.  The cost per month is $199.

Member to Member e-blasts – This monthly e-mail advertisements to over 3,200 email addresses.  The cost per communication is $99 and includes 100 words of text, an image, and a link to your website.

Banner AdsHere at berkshirechamber.com we offer up real estate space for only $1,000 per year, or less $84 a month. Change your ad as much as you’d like and link it to your website.

Government Advocacy

The Berkshire Chamber of Commerce has helped bring about reform in worker's compensation, unemployment and health insurance, and tax classification. In addition, we have advocated for business incentives and for improved telecommunications and transportation infrastructure in the Berkshires. Our strength lies in the number and diversity of our 1,100 members, from micro and small businesses to large employers.


Volunteer Opportunities

Committees help promote regional unity within the Berkshires. When you join a Berkshire Chamber of Commerce committee, you'll be working with other member volunteers to help fulfill the Chamber's mission of leading and advancing economic development and supporting the civic and social welfare of Berkshire County through advocacy and support of our members and the Berkshire community.
